Summer is the season of high temperatures, dark skin and long holidays. The sun is an element that defines the season because it warms up the atmosphere, it warms people and gardens as well. Fruits and vegetables catch color and make everything around look full of life, joyful. This is why it is important to enjoy the little miracles of summer while they are fresh and juicy.

Fruits

The fruits that are characteristic for this season are: strawberries, cherries, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, white grapes, watermelon, peaches, apples and pears. They are a combination between sweetness and nutrition. They can constitute a great meal, are rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients, but people should calculate the portions. Some fruits such as pears and white grapes are very rich in sugar and can be dangerous if consumed in large quantities.

Vegetables

Looking at the vegetables, summer provides people with tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, zucchini, pepper, beans and cauliflower. All these have incredible flavors which can be combined in different kinds of salads. Moreover, corn is the cereal that all people wait for in the summer. Boiled or cooked on the grill, it can be a great snack or even a nice meal.

Due to the high temperatures, it is very important to drink at least 2 litres of water during a day. Also, you can try watermelon because it contains 96% water, just like the cucumber. Eating a slice of it will make you feel that you have had a wonderful dessert and a fresh icy drink at the same time. You should try avoiding food rich in calories and fat, fried meals that can cause you stomach problems. Take advantage of the fresh taste of summer and eat what it offers you.
